Aktuell halten wir in unserer WG zwei Boa Constrictor Imperator Schlangen. Da die beiden Männchen und Weibchen sind und wir nicht möchten, dass die beiden sich paaren, haben wir beschlossen, eine der beiden Tiere an vertrauensvolle Hände abzugeben.

Die beiden wohnen derzeit in einem 180x100x100cm (BxHxT) großen Terrarium aus Spanplatten mit entsprechender Inneneinrichtung.

Wir haben die beiden Tiere Ende 2020 von einer Privatperson, die mehrere Schlangen hält, abgekauft. Da diese Person die beiden aber nur als "Notzwischenlösung" aufgenommen hat, haben wir leider auch keinen Herkunftsnachweis.

Wir waren nach dem Kauf mit den beiden beim Tierarzt für einen grundlegenden Check. Dort ist herausgekommen, dass beide Tiere den IBD-Virus (Inclusion Body Disease) in sich tragen - das ist eine häufig bei Riesenschlangen auftretende Krankheit, die auch als "Schlangen AIDS" bezeichnet wird, da man diese jahrelang ohne Ausbruch in sich tragen kann. Beide Tiere sind gesund und haben keinerlei Symptome gezeigt in den 4 Jahren, die wir sie nun haben.

Dicke: Ca. Unterarmdick an der dicksten Stelle
Fressverhalten: Normal, wenn nicht zu häufig gefüttert (wir füttern alle 4-6 Wochen)
Verhalten: Normal, neugierig, lässt sich auch mal auf den Arm nehmen

Wenn es hier jemanden gibt, der/die sich vorstellen kann, Snakespear aufzunehmen, wären wir sehr dankbar. Wir werden da auch sicherlich eine Lösung finden, wenn es finanziell gerade nicht so passt - hauptsache wir trennen die beiden voneinander und finden ein neues, schönes Zuhause.

Der Standort der Schlangen ist Hamburg-Stellingen. Natürlich könnten wir vorher auch eine Besichtigung planen.
