Es handelt sich um sehr schöne und ruhige Arten, die auch Anfänger-tauglich sind und in größeren Gruppen (sehr soziale Arten) gehalten und aufgezogen werden können, dies macht es gerade interessant! Die Endgröße dieser Arten liegt bei ca. 5-6 cm. Zudem sind diese Arten medizinisch nicht bedeutsam, also mäßig giftig. Die Haltungsbedingungen sind sehr einfach, Haltung in kleinen Terras (Bodenhaltung mit Klettermöglichkeiten) 20*30*20 cm als Endterrarium bei 10-15 Tieren (C.nitidus)!

Durch ihre fantastische Färbung sind es überaus attraktive Tausendfüßer. Sie sind gut zu beobachten und vor allem dämmerungs- und nachtaktiv, aber auch tagsüber unterwegs. Die Fotos zeigen die Eltern.

Ursprüngliche Herkunft: Südafrika
Maximale Größe: ca. 6cm
Haltung: 60-90% RLF, Temperatur 20°-25° C
Nahrung: Flechten, Weißfaules Holz, Buchen- u. Eichenlaub, Flockenfutter (Aquaristik), Laubwaldhumus/Flake Soil, Gemüse (Möhre, Süßkartoffel, Gurke)
