Reptile and Amphibian Keeper/ Collection Supervisor

Pay: €25,000.00 - €36,000.00 per year

We are currently seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, hard working and enthusiastic supervisor to oversee the day to day management and breeding of a large, diverse and expanding private collection of reptiles and amphibians in the Republic of Ireland, though other species might be added in the future.

We are seeking someone with a proactive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude to ensure not only the high standard of care that we expect for our animals but also that industry standard husbandry is maintained across our range of species, many of which are rare or endangered.

You will be expected to be familiar with industry best practice either from within zoological facility or a large private collection of exotics. Although training will be provided, you will be expected to implement and develop animal husbandry protocols, as well as carrying out all day – to – day care of the species under your supervision. You will also train other staff member and be willing to be trained in whatever areas management might require. You will be expected to liaise with and follow all necessary instructions from our consultant as well as other specialists.

You will follow as well as develop husbandry protocols to ensure successful breeding across a range of species.
