Afrikainsche Betrüger hautnah: Eine kleine Geschichte

Hier sehen wir den Email Verkehr zwischen einem afrikanischen Betrüger und seinem japanischen fast- Opfer.
Der Japaner hatte verbotenerweise eine Anzeige auf www.terraristik.com aufgegeben, in der er auf einen deutschen Züchter hinwies,
der ihm vermutlich betrogen hatte. Dies liess ihn in den Augen afrikainscher Betrüger zum geeigneten Opfer werden.
der afrikainscieh Betrüger gab sich als Mitarbeiter von www.terraristik.com aus, der Japaner allerdings roch den Braten und kontaktierte mich als Eigentümer von www.terraristik.com da ihm die email und einiges andere zu recht seltsam vorkam und die Vorgangsweise der Betrüger zwar raffiniert aber immer gleich ist.
Zuerst werden irgendwelche dinge versprochen, der "KUnde" ziemlich heiss gemacht auf seinen "Gewinn" -in dem Fall die Wiedererlangung der 3.000 Euro - und dann im Verhältnis zum Vermeintlichen Gewinn "kleiner Unkostenersatz" verlangt. Wenn der gezahlt ist, gibts noch ein paar Probleme und noch ein kleiner Unkostenbeitrag wird fällig.
Und das solange bis das Opfer nicht mehr bereit ist zu zahlen oder hinter den Schwindel kommt.
So "verdienen" westafrikanische Betrüger aus Nigeria/Kamerung seit über 80 Jahren (!!! damals noch per Brief) viele Millonen Dollar pro Jahr.
Der Grund warum es so viele Opfer gibt ist die Gier etwas zu bekommen, das einem nicht zusteht(50 Mio Dollar von einem "verstorbenen Verwandten" :-B ), Dinge viel billiger als üblich zu bekommen (Rassehundewelpen, Primaten, Reptilien etc.) oder das verlorene (vergangener betrug, nachschusszahlungen um das Tier doch noch zu bekommen) mit etwas zusätzlichem Geld zurückzugewinnen.

A real story happened August 2007

Email communication between an african scammer and its Japanese almost-victim.
The Japanese had posted a classified about someone from Germany who has swindled
him for 3000 Euro.
This was enough for some african gansgeter to try to try some scam on him.

---I try to contact with him by e-mail. He could e-mail for me until June 1 2007 but he does not send any e-mail since that. I have sent many e-mails since June 1 but he has not responded. His name is Adnreas Koppe, maybe not Koeppe. I also call his phone 0049 5224 98 6548, but he is not there.

Conclusion:

1.) You have read it, so learn from it, understand the mechanisms and do never ever get the victim of scams like this. If it sound to good to be true - its a scam. And if you have to pay anyone money per Western Union or any similar service although thet person claims to be living next door its probably a scam. Use bank transfers or paypal then you would at least know who has got the money.

2.) Why do I have the impression that those west african gansters have a better understanding of customer relationship managment and customer service than many companies - small or world wide operating ones?
I cannot remember of a any company answering my emails within 2 hours or at 2 a.m. in the morning.
Can it be that this is also a key of the gangters success?

A lot of Customer Service Managers should ask those criminals sitting in shabby african backyard internet cafes for some trainig lessons in "understanding the customers needs" and "answering customer requests in a timely manner".

The question is if crime is the only chance those people get to make a living or if it is only more comfortable to be criminals than to work in a regular job. And what can be done to improve the situation.
